Updates About My Life and Whatnot

Hey everyone, it's Adele here, and I wanted to tune everyone in on some quick updates:

  • My school starts back up on August 4th, which is about a week and a half away from the time I'm writing this. I'm joining a club or two, my school's chorus, and musical theater at a local dance studio. I'm also taking German and an honors Biology. I will be super busy with all of those activities, and may not have a lot of time for AGIG and AGYT and the Blogosphere and stuff. Depending on my schedule, I will upload two videos every week on YT, at least one post every day on IG, and one blog post every week.
  • I may be going to a music festival in September, so that means I won't get any new doll things for a while so I can help save up.
  • There's an AG Place opening in Orlando, FL. We have a lot of friends who live in Orlando and we prefer Disney World to Disney Land, so we find ourselves in FL pretty often. I may have a meetup someday :)
  • You can contact me at agadelestudios@gmail.com, for either business inquires, fan mail, whatever.
  • I have a tumblr for my dolls and such, agadelestudios.tumblr.com

I'm sorry for all of this, but summer can't last forever! I loved lounging around and spending all day with my dolls, but now it's time for me to get back into the swing of things at school. I still have to get into colleges. I hope you all understand :)

Mia's Birthday!

Yesterday was Mia's birthday! She skipped the cake and immediately began with the presents.
Here's a picture of her birthday haul!

A picture of Mia with all of her presents!

A close-up of her super cute birthday headband!

All of her party guests!

She picks her first present to open....

It's a purse! Thanks Evelyn!

The package says it's from Charlie.

Charlie know just how much Mia loves to read! Mia will definitely think about Charlie every time she opens the book!

What could be in this package?

It's markers! Joyce knows how much Mia loves to color!

Onto the next present!

What?

What can Mia do with a teeny-tiny dress? Thanks, Amanda??

The next present is from Mom.

Could it be???

It is!!!

It's the American Girl Doll Nellie Mia had been asking for!

Now the small dress makes sense! Amanda always knows just what present to get people!

"Thanks mom!" Mia said. "She looks just like me!"

Do you celebrate your doll's birthday? If so, what do you do? Let us know in the comments below!

Beach Time with Emily!

I went to the beach with Emily one day and had a blast! I also got some great photos!

Reading a book for her classes next fall.

Takin' it easy in the sand

On the Jetties!

The lifegaurd blew his whistle after he saw Emily standing on the Jetties!

Hanging out in the water

I hope you enjoyed my beach photoshoot! Comment which photo was your favorite!

Ruthie in the City

Today, I went to an area downtown and took Ruthie with me for some photos. Lots of people were giving me really funny looks by the way!

Beautiful Ruthie!

Of course, Ruthie had to bring Nellie!

I got these Chinese-takeout-looking boxes from Rebecca's Color and Craft set on sale at the AG website. I thought this looked really cute and artsy!

Lounging around, reading a magazine

Ruthie's stack of books she wants to read by the end of the month.

We actually stopped at a garage sale on our way there and got some AG-sized things. The bag wasn't included, though.

Ruthie wants to be taller!

Playing with Nellie with some random people in the background.

It looks like she's taking a selfie here!

On the way home, we had to stop by a bookstore to pick up some books I needed for school, and Ruthie found Mini Molly. Sadly, we couldn't get her.

Which picture was your favorite?

Molly & Emily

Molly and Emily make such a cute pair, don't you think? I did a photoshoot with them a few days back. I'd love feedback!

Molly and Emily look cute from behind

Emily is such a good friend!

This one was one of my personal favorites. It's my new Instagram profile picture!

I found this dead tree/bush, and I thought they would look cute in front of it.

I found a pit/hole thing, and took these two photos. Don't they look cute?

Molly loves an adventure, but Emily doesn't like to step out of her comfort zone.

That's all of Molly and Emily today! I will be taking Ruthie with me to a nice place downtown that's full of charm and history and dilapidated roads and houses. I can't wait to show you guys when the pictures are done!

Welcome to the World of Adele!

My name is Adele, and I live in Arizona. I have 15 American Girl dolls total!

This was my first doll, Amanda. She is JLY #23, and she looks exactly like me! I got her from my mom for Christmas when I was 7.

This is my next doll, Kirsten. I read a lot of the American Girl stories, and Kirsten's were my favorite! My mom agreed to drive me to Atlanta for my 8th birthday celebration, and she got me Kirsten!

My next doll was Mia. She was Girl of the Year 2008. I fell in love with her when I saw her at the Boutique and Bistro in Atlanta, but wanted to get other things with the money I'd saved. But I saved up enough money to order her online! She will always have a special place in my heart because she was the first one I truly worked hard to get.

My next doll was Julie Albright. I'd originally wanted Nellie, but she sold out before my mom could buy her for me. She asked which one I'd rather have, and I picked her because she grew up around the time my mom was born. My mom got her for me for Christmas in 2008.

This doll belongs to my sister, but I take her out for a lot of photoshoots! My sister, Corabelle, asked for her for Christmas and got her. I'm not entirely sure why she wanted her.

This is Chrissa Maxwell. I remember seeing her on dolldiaries.com and immediately fell in love with her! I started saving up all of my money for her, and sometime during the spring or summer, finally ordered her online!

My sister, Corabelle, wanted to get Molly's best friend, so she opted towards Emily! She saved up all of her money to get miss Emily, and she is so beautiful!
This is my sister Olivia-Violet's first doll, Rebecca! She asked for her for her birthday, and (obviously) received her. Again, I'm not sure why she wanted to get Rebecca, but I'm glad she got her!

Lanie was my next doll. When she was released, I was so excited to get her! I'd already had a lot of money saved up from Christmas, so I was able to get her!

This beauty is Elizabeth. When I found out she was retiring, I was so upset! My best friend next door had Felicity, so I figured I'd ask for Elizabeth so we could have best friend dolls!

This is Joyce-Anna, Corabelle's 3rd doll. She converted her to a historical doll from the 1940s so she could be friends with Molly and Emily. Joyce-Anna is MAG #28

Karla Johansen was my 7th doll. She's MAG #36. I made her a historical to be Julie's best friend.

This is Ivy Ling. She was Olivia's 2nd doll. Olivia had originally wanted McKenna, because McKenna was a gymnast like Olivia. We were going to Los Angelos on a vacation at the beginning of 2013, so my mom figured she could pick up McKenna while we were there. When we arrived, though, they were completely sold out of McKenna dolls! Olivia was very torn up, but quickly perked up when she realized there was a historical gymnast doll called Ivy! She was so excited and decided to get Ivy.

MAG #34 was Corabelle's fourth doll. She named her Evelyn to continue the 1940s doll theme she had.

Ruthie is the most recent doll to our collection. She is so beautiful! After I found out she was being archived, I saved up all my birthday money, allowance, and babysitting money to get her, her pajamas, her accessories, and her holiday outfit! I was so excited to get her in the mail! She has been a great doll, and I'm so glad I got her while I did, because she's sold out now.

I know, 15 dolls is a lot! It takes a lot to keep them in good condition. Check out my blog regularly for my photography and tips to help keep your dolls in pristine condition!
