My name is Adele, and I live in Arizona. I have 15 American Girl dolls total!
This was my first doll, Amanda. She is JLY #23, and she looks exactly like me! I got her from my mom for Christmas when I was 7.
This is my next doll, Kirsten. I read a lot of the American Girl stories, and Kirsten's were my favorite! My mom agreed to drive me to Atlanta for my 8th birthday celebration, and she got me Kirsten!
My next doll was Mia. She was Girl of the Year 2008. I fell in love with her when I saw her at the Boutique and Bistro in Atlanta, but wanted to get other things with the money I'd saved. But I saved up enough money to order her online! She will always have a special place in my heart because she was the first one I truly worked hard to get.
My next doll was Julie Albright. I'd originally wanted Nellie, but she sold out before my mom could buy her for me. She asked which one I'd rather have, and I picked her because she grew up around the time my mom was born. My mom got her for me for Christmas in 2008.
This doll belongs to my sister, but I take her out for a lot of photoshoots! My sister, Corabelle, asked for her for Christmas and got her. I'm not entirely sure why she wanted her.
This is Chrissa Maxwell. I remember seeing her on dolldiaries.com and immediately fell in love with her! I started saving up all of my money for her, and sometime during the spring or summer, finally ordered her online!
My sister, Corabelle, wanted to get Molly's best friend, so she opted towards Emily! She saved up all of her money to get miss Emily, and she is so beautiful!
This is my sister Olivia-Violet's first doll, Rebecca! She asked for her for her birthday, and (obviously) received her. Again, I'm not sure why she wanted to get Rebecca, but I'm glad she got her!
Lanie was my next doll. When she was released, I was so excited to get her! I'd already had a lot of money saved up from Christmas, so I was able to get her!
This beauty is Elizabeth. When I found out she was retiring, I was so upset! My best friend next door had Felicity, so I figured I'd ask for Elizabeth so we could have best friend dolls!
This is Joyce-Anna, Corabelle's 3rd doll. She converted her to a historical doll from the 1940s so she could be friends with Molly and Emily. Joyce-Anna is MAG #28
Karla Johansen was my 7th doll. She's MAG #36. I made her a historical to be Julie's best friend.
This is Ivy Ling. She was Olivia's 2nd doll. Olivia had originally wanted McKenna, because McKenna was a gymnast like Olivia. We were going to Los Angelos on a vacation at the beginning of 2013, so my mom figured she could pick up McKenna while we were there. When we arrived, though, they were completely sold out of McKenna dolls! Olivia was very torn up, but quickly perked up when she realized there was a historical gymnast doll called Ivy! She was so excited and decided to get Ivy.
MAG #34 was Corabelle's fourth doll. She named her Evelyn to continue the 1940s doll theme she had.
Ruthie is the most recent doll to our collection. She is so beautiful! After I found out she was being archived, I saved up all my birthday money, allowance, and babysitting money to get her, her pajamas, her accessories, and her holiday outfit! I was so excited to get her in the mail! She has been a great doll, and I'm so glad I got her while I did, because she's sold out now.
I know, 15 dolls is a lot! It takes a lot to keep them in good condition. Check out my blog regularly for my photography and tips to help keep your dolls in pristine condition!
